Statue

Standing nearly five feet in height, the Design Toscano Themis Blind Justice Giant Garden Statue is a force to be reckoned with. A stately accoutrement for the upscale law office, this hand-finished bronze statue is individually hand crafted according to the traditional lost wax casting technique. The regal blindfolded female depicted is Themis, Greek divinity in charge of impartial justice. She holds balanced scales which represent the weighing of evidence and a sword that represents enforcement of divine law. At her feet, snakes of injustice writhe in despair. This expressive statue is mounted on a black marble base. Two different finishes are painstakingly hand-applied to achieve a multidimensional effect. A rich sepia tone is used on her skin while a color-washed emerald verde patina enhances the folds and drapes of her garments.
